San Salvador, September 2, 2024. Promoting sustainable city models from the construction sector, developing capacities, opening learning opportunities and generating strategic alliances is the objective of the 10th Sustainable Cities Forum, called “Challenges and Solutions: The Road to Urban Sustainable Development”, sponsored by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI).

Every year, the Salvadoran Construction Institute (ISC) organizes this Forum in which experiences and proposals are presented to improve the sustainable management of cities, encouraging the exchange of best practices that raise awareness in the construction sector about the relevance of urban sustainability.
This year, topics related to public transportation, low-income housing and green cities will be addressed. As part of the agenda, successful experiences and innovative solutions for efficient and accessible urban mobility will be presented; sustainable urban housing models aimed at building resilient communities; and strategies to reduce environmental impact and improve quality of life.
CABEI joins this effort, recognizing the important role of cities in the face of the imperative challenge of climate change and the need to promote sustainable urban development models in El Salvador that seek to improve people’s quality of life, reducing the negative environmental impact and offering efficient solutions for services, such as transportation.
