MODERN INFRASTRUCTURE

One of El Salvador’s greatest challenges is to have the best road connectivity in Central America. To achieve this goal, the country has invested millions of dollars to transform road connectivity, including the construction of large mega-projects to increase competitiveness and rehabilitate the main access roads and national routes with the intervention of more than 1,000 kilometers of road.

The construction of quality works to improve connectivity, logistics, trade, and tourism includes the construction of eight overpasses nationwide, which reduce traffic, especially at the entrances and exits of cities. These overpasses also benefit cargo transport and the movement of goods, as they are located near the accesses to the land borders with neighboring countries.

The modernization of the road network also includes the expansion projects of the El Litoral highway, Surf City, the Pan-American highway in the Los Chorros section, the Longitudinal del Norte highway, and works in the eastern and western zones.
